Use this when the role can timeout, kick, or ban. Helpers can skip the raid and leak scenarios. Admins need an extra staff-on-staff conflict. Generate a full form with the staff application generator; use the interview bank on the people who pass.
Written Discord moderator application
- Availability: timezone, weekly hours, whether you can take an overnight ping.
- Experience: prior mod teams, why you left, a tag we can message.
- Raid: three new accounts posting porn and invites. First five minutes, who you ping, what you log.
- Ticket: a user reports a popular regular. The regular is in your friend list.
- Leak: a screenshot of a report is in a public meme channel. What you salvage.
- Burnout: you have been on duty six nights. A ping comes in. What do you do.
- Integrity: bans, blacklists, recusal. The honest version is usable.
How to score it
Judgement, integrity, hours, writing, server knowledge. Integrity at 1–2 is a no even if the raid answer is perfect. Use the scorecard so the next reviewer is not guessing why you said trial.
Interview only the shortlist
Do not voice-interview everyone. For the people who passed, steal prompts from the moderator interview tool: owner-offline, recusal, ticket escalation, a helper who over-punishes. Interrupt speeches. You want the next five minutes of an incident.
Trial before Ban Members
Approve into a trial mod role with a probation window. Say that on the form so they are not surprised. The bot can promote when the window ends, or you pull access from the dashboard.
